Which school leaving certificate is required?

This course is aimed at students with the equivalent of a general certification of secondary education, a general certificate of advanced education or a university entrance qualification or a vocational diploma equivalent to a university entrance qualification, as well as anyone wishing to change career paths or refresh their skills.

What do i have to do to apply?

To apply to our school, please start by sending us your application documents with a cover letter and all necessary contact details, your CV with a photograph, a letter of motivation and copies of your school certificates/diplomas.

If you submit your application by post and would like us to return your documents, please also enclose a stamped and addressed envelope. You can also send us your documents by email (info(at)m3-menschenmachenmode.de).

What happens after i have submitted my application documents?

If we think that you could benefit from our school, we will get in touch to arrange a meeting (see Info Event) for an in-depth interview, to which you should bring samples of your creative work.
This can include drawings, crafts, photos or anything similar. You do not have to produce anything especially for the interview. You could, for example, bring along projects from your art class at school, and your work does not necessarily have to involve fashion. For us, it is more about judging your creative potential.

Which documents should I include in my application?

Letter of motivation / cover letter, CV with a photo and all contact details, copies of all relevant school certificates or diplomas.

Which qualifications will i have at the end of the course?

A journeyman certificate as a Bespoke Tailor (women and – new from 2013 – men), a qualifying certificate as a certified Fashion Designer and qualifying certificates in the fields of Digital Media in Fashion Design (DMiMD) and Garment Technology.

What does the course cost?

The total fees for the seven-semester course at our school are €19,950.00. These fees can either be paid monthly, half-yearly or yearly by direct debit.

For example:

  • The monthly payment is €475.00 and is due on the 1st weekday of every month in advance.

An enrolment fee of €75.00 will be charged when you enrol. Material costs and examination fees must be paid separately.

How high are the monthly material costs?

The material costs depend on the current project and how much material each student needs. We cannot indicate a flat monthly fee because all the projects and the personal requirements simply vary too much.
